The magical realism of literature.
Singularities, particularities and dream images in normality.

¨Serenus¨ is based on the magical realism of literature, in which there is room for singularities, particularities and dream images in normality. This idea has been transferred to dance and influences the body language, space (dance-related) and general composition of images.

The two dancers call to life characters from books of magical realism literature. Andrea Lagos transforms into Sierva María de los Ángeles from the novel "Love and Other Demons" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Rebecca Mary Narum represents Clara del Valle from the "Ghost House" by Isabel Allende. These two women meet on the dance floor and get to know each other: the extroverted and energetic Clara del Valle meets the spirit of Sierva María, who died so young, free and in love.
