Drawing from testimonies of survivors, the performance transforms historical trauma into embodied expression. Through dance, music, video, and embroidery, a living archive of voices emerges—voices that were silenced, yet refuse to disappear. These stories live on in bodies, in gestures, in art.

Conceived by Chilean choreographer Andrea Lagos Neumann together with Felipe González Berríos and Florencia Lagos Neumann, and co-created and performed by Rebecca Mary Narum, Lola Villegas Fragoso, and Felipe González Berríos, the work weaves together personal and collective memory as a form of resistance.

The voices highlighted are not only political, but deeply personal—many belonging to members of the FLINTA* community (women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender people) who faced violence not only from authoritarian regimes, but also within society at large. Through this intersectional lens, the performance sheds light on how systems of power leave their marks on bodies—and how art can reclaim them.

From a Scream into Movement is more than a performance. It is a call to remember, to witness, and to take responsibility for the stories that should never be forgotten.
