“The act or process of bring something into existence”
The root of my work and my need to create comes from a deep desire to better understand the world and people around me and to then share what I find with others. It is this desire that led me first to study Anthropology, then to my work in dance and has since driven me and my creative interest to where I am today.
Each time I create a piece I am interested in in finding and telling stories which are not of a clear linear form that can be rationally followed and explained but are something people can still connect to and understand. One which holds transformation, rawness, paradox, and beauty in things we would never expect.
Creations
I believe within a work of art (which is abstract, possibly absurd, and created by one person or a group of people) the witness may find a small part with which they connect, recognize, or understand; another person may nothing at all; and yet another will find something completely different. But each person, in seeing the piece, sees into someone else’s mind, soul and perspective of the world.
My creation process is always inspired by the real world and intends to bring a part of reality onto the stage. The process if often accompanied by both theoretical as well as artistic research. >> research
