an instant composition
that explores the play between dance and music, movement and sound.
In “(What do you think about that?)” two dancers and two musicians, under the guidance of an artistic accompaniment, research how to compose a piece instantaneously by taking inspiration from each other.
The specific relation between dance and music is framed by electronic sounds together with violin and saxophone. The electronic sounds are used to create polyphonic landscapes – audible movement, which amplify the pictures and images created through movement.
Dance and music are in a constant dialogue - sometimes in cooperation, sometimes in conflict. All sound and movement sources are used as a possibility of creating meeting points, melting together or creating tensions and counterbalance.
The performers investigate how it is possible to change the spectator’s perception of the visual and the audible inviting them to have a sensorial experience.
