What happens to the time in between?
Isn't the time in-between creation processes just as important as the time we spend creating?

“The time in-between” was an active reflection on my artistic working methods and the creation processes from my latest pieces. The intention was that this would then feed and flow into the artistic and conceptual development for my up-coming creation(s).

During the process I objectively reviewed my work both alone as well as in dialog with other artists/people from different backgrounds to then critically analyze my findings through a subjective perspective (how do I feel as an artist?) and finally begin exploring artistically how I can translate my findings into my future artistic work.

As artists and creators, I believe our work not only lies within the active creation but also within actively reflecting during the time in-between creation processes. In allowing space for this contemplation, we are able to see more clearly and work more consciously towards creating our artistic visions.

This project is about continuing to search the essence of my artistic work. As composer Aaron Copland said, “I felt that it was worth the effort to see if I couldn't say what I had to say in the simplest possible terms."

It was funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media in the program NEUSTART KULTUR, aid program DIS-TANZEN of the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.
